Here in the City of Gold, we’ll get well acquainted with our surroundings by hiking up to the serene Mount of Olives, a religious centre for Christianity, Islam and Judaism. As well as being instantly calming and peaceful, it also provides a breathtaking view of Jerusalem itself.

Jerusalem, we’re not done with you yet! We’ll spring out of bed for more exploring, this time going beyond the monuments and digging deep into ancient life. We’ll visit the sobering sites of the Yad Vashem Museum and Memorial, also known as The World Holocaust Remembrance Centre, and Mount Herzl Cemetery. The Second Temple Model will give us an inkling of what the city looked like in ancient times.

This morning, we’ll wrap it up in Jerusalem and head north into the lush pastures of Galilee, Israel’s mountainous region.

We won’t waste a second, starting with a visit to the holy city of Nazareth (a.k.a the childhood home of Jesus) then getting closer to nature with a traditional boat ride on the sea of Galilee. This surely be a day that will stay with us forever.

We may be waking up in paradise, but we’ll hit the road early to make our morning crossing to Jordan via the Sheik Hussein border. We’ll journey past pine forests and olive groves until we reach the ancient Greco Roman city of Jerash.

Here in Jerash, we’ll uncover the Greco Roman influence on this holy land, as a tour of the city sees us peruse Corinthian columns and ancient ruins.
Amman
After an interesting visit of the Iraq Al-Amir Women’s Cooperative Society, we’ll make our way to Amman, Jordan’s capital city. In this bustling hubbub of life, a city tour will show us Amman’s highlights, including the Amphitheatre and the Citadel.

We’ll enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning before setting off. With the knowledge that this afternoon we’ll rally in the Red Rose City of Petra, our anticipation will be at an all-time high.

Pinch yourself – we’re in Petra! Cue the collective gasp in awe of this magnificent site, where the hues of pink make us forget what era (and what planet) we’re in. Once we’re done taking our mental (and physical) pictures, we’ll have our socks blown off a second time as our local guide briefs us on the city’s history. Getting up close and personal with Pharaoh’s Castle, the Triumphal Arc and the Monastery, we’ll see just why this is the greatest attraction in the Middle East.

All that cultural discovery of the past few days has us craving some uber chill vibes, and we’ll find them in Eilat. We’ll leave Petra and embark on a journey through Wadi Rum, Jordan’s largest and most stunning desert, where silent landscapes, ancient riverbeds and pastel colours will have us glued to the windows. We’ll even hop in a 4×4 for the full desert experience.

Today is all about kicking back, relaxing, and indulging in a little r&r – and with the Red Sea at our toes and the sun on our faces, the good vibes will be unstoppable. We’ll head to the Underwater Observatory to oggle marine life before a late afternoon hike in the Red Canyon will give us panoramic views for days.
