Tanzania Safaris Itineraries

East Africa’s largest country remains one of the continent’s most definitive and stirringly original safari destinations. The itineraries below are designed to give you some suggestions for what is possible when you travel in Tanzania, and they showcase some of the routes that we’ve found work particularly well. Itinerary

Day 1: Tarangire National park
Tarangire national park is simply a haven for elephants. It is one of the few national parks in the world where you shall learn, understand, and view several behaviors and characters of Elephants. Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro international airport, you shall see one of regional tours and travel guide with a simple identification about you-It could be a simple banner with your name on it. He shall greet you with such a hospitality welcome and you shall immediate feel at home. The driver shall drive you directly to Tarangire national park which is a few hours from Kilimanjaro International airport. On arrival at Tarangire you shall have your picnic lunch and start your afternoon game drive later on. In the evening, you shall drive to Sangaiwe Tented Lodgefor a dinner and overnight stay. Lake Burungi Tented Camp offers such a breath-taking view of LakeBurungi-be assured to enjoy this nice view as you are relaxing at the lodge.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National park
Lake Manyara National park is one of the northern zone parks in Tanzania that you can’t miss out. It offers several adventures and must-see wildlife as you do a game drive. At the park, you shall stand a chance to view Leopards, East African lions, cheetahs, elephants, blue monkeys, dik-dik, gazelles, hippopotami, Masai giraffe,and Impala. After breakfast, you shall drive to Lake Manyara National park for a full day game drive. Lunch shall be provided at the park. Dinner and a night stay shall be taken care of at Ngrongoro Tloma Lodge. The lodge has such a wide variety of specialty and lovable cuisines to choose from. Their rooms are fitted with the best utilities to give you the best comfort.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall depart to Serengeti National park via Ngorongoro Crater view. This route is full of game viewing opportunities and you shall do an en-route game drive. Make sure your camera is well charged and set for the many photo-taking moments ahead of you. Lunch shall be packed in picnic boxes. You shall have your dinner and night at Serengeti Tortilis Tented Camp.

Day 4: Serengeti National park
You cannot say that you had the best wildlife adventure in Tanzania unless you visited and did a game drive in Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National park shall give those rare game viewing experiences that you can’t find anywhere in Africa. In this park, there are many predators and herbivores. You shall stand a chance of viewing what it means to stay and survive in the wild. You will watch those moments of what it means to be a predator while you are living in a wide range of prey. There are so many experiences that if you are lucky enough shall make your trip so much memorable-seeing a predator chasing its prey and catching its prey after the chase just makes you appreciate hard work while having mixed feelings about the prey. You shall do an early morning game drive. This happens before sunrise which shall give you several glimpse and rare opportunities of seeing the night predators with their catch as well as several other game drive opportunities. You shall drive back to the accommodation for breakfast. Immediately after breakfast, you shall drive back to the park for an adventurous and memorable full day game drive. Dinner and overnight stay shall be at Serengeti Tortilis Tented Camp.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater View
Ngorongoro Crater is one of the finest and unique tourist attractions in Tanzania. The crater supports such an enormous ecosystem-there are so many wildlife around the crater. When at the crater, you shall have an opportunity of enjoying the big 5 animals. Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to Ngorongoro Crater where you shall descend to the crater floor for a game drive. You shall witness rare game viewing moments. Lunch shall be provided at the hippo pool picnic site. Later on you shall ascend to the rim and head to Karatu Village for another simple adventure around the village. Dinner and overnight stay shall be at Country Lodge Karatu .

Day 6: Travel from Arusha Airport to Zanzibar
This day is the day to get immersed into one of Tanzania’s cultures and learn about how people live. After your breakfast, you shall drive to MtowaMbu for a cultural visit. You shall visit the local women and learn how they do their own activities like farming, small women financing groups, and you shall the opportunity to sit down and taste the local African cuisine. After such a wonderful experience, you shall drive to Arusha airport to get a flight to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar, which is one of the world’s most visited islands, you shall be transferred to stone house for a night at Mizingani Seafront hotel .

Day 7: Zanzibar vacation
You shall have your breakfast at the hotel and start your city tour around Stone Town. Stone Town is the major town of Zanzibar. There are so many tourist attractions and wonders that shall make your day full of activities. During the day, you shall drive to Jambiani Village (South Coast) which is a magnet for tourists visiting Zanzibar who are seeking for a slice of the beautiful beaches. Overnight at The Loop Zanzibar(Bed & Breakfast).

Day 8: Full day beach experience in Zanzibar
One of the things that make Zanzibar such a wonder is the beach life. To have an immersed and wanting-more experience you have to travel across the many beaches in Zanzibar. Each offers special experiences. This day you shall have a great beach experience in Zanzibar. Enjoy your overnight at The Loop Zanzibar (Bed & Breakfast).

Day 9: Beach Experience in Zanzibar
If you have really been to the beach, you understand very well that one day is not enough to traverse the several beaches. You need another day to fully understand what takes place at the beach like the several activities that people do, where to take the best photos from, how to book that boat into the sea, and many others. During this day, you shall be privileged to move to other stunning beaches in Zanzibar. Zanzibar’s beaches are a natural attraction-they have the finest and powdered white sand with these big palm trees. Enjoying a coconut sip is a must for those that are really interested in trying out the special drinks and foods at the beach. Overnight stay shall be at The Loop Zanzibar (Bed & Breakfast).

Day 10: Zanzibar International airport
I’m sure that by the time, you get to this day you camera shall be full of memories and photos worthy sharing. This day shall mark the end of an adventurous and insightful long trip in Tanzania. You are always welcome for more activities. After breakfast at the hotel, you shall be transferred to Zanzibar International airport according to your flight time to start your journey back home.
